VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Following the resignation of Dr. Cecil Staton as Valdosta State University (VSU) interim president, the University now has a new interim president.
The university announced Monday that Dr. Kelli Brown will take over the position.
She is the current Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Georgia College & State University.
She starts the job at VSU on June 1.
Staton announced in April he would be taking over as chancellor of East Carolina University.
VSU plans to announce a formal presidential search soon.
