VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Lowndes County Coroner has identified the victims in the fatal house fire that happened Saturday morning. 

The victims were Reggie Mcloud, 42, and David Washington, Jr., 57. 

The survivor of the house fire has yet to be identified and is still in the burn center in Augusta. 

Investigators are still unaware of the cause of the fire. 


VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Valdosta Fire Department has confirmed a house fire that happened Saturday morning leaving two people dead and one seriously injured. 

According to James Clinkscales, Valdosta's Fire Marshal, it happened at approximately 5:15 a.m on the 500 block of Sustella Avenue. 

Fire units arrived within five minutes and reported heavy smoke and flames visible in the front of the residence. 

According to VFD, three residents were in the house and were quickly removed. 

Two residents did not survive and the third resident was transported to South Georgia Medical Center and eventually life-flighted to a burn hospital. 

The condition of the third victim is unknown at this time. 

The house sustained a great amount of fire damage with a total loss of $75,000. 

The cause of the fire still under investigation.
