TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee police responded to a fatal accident Tuesday morning in the 1300 block of Maclay Road.

According to TPD, the accident happened around 2:45am and resulted in the death of a driver.

According to authorities, the driver was heading eastbound and lost control of the car, hitting a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have now identified him as 25-year old Henry Youn.

No one else was in the car at the time of the accident, and no other cars were involved.

Investigators are now working to try and piece together what exactly led up the fatal crash.

“They are processing the scene for evidence, looking for any indications of speed, mapping out the area and they'll be able to make a determination at a later time,” said Tallahassee Police Officer David Northway.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have been in the area, or seen the accident to call Tallahassee Police.

Friends have taken to posting on Youn's Facebook page to remember him. Nicola Clancy will remember Youn for his sense of humor: "Henry, it has been far too long since the days when you cheered me up during Latin class. Your wonderful sense of humor and true friendship will be greatly missed."

His friend, Amber Raynae called him "a bright shining light to the rest of the world."
