VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta Police have arrested a former Burger King employee in the burglary of the fast-food restaurant.

Demetrius Williams, 25, was arrested Friday for the Sept. 28, 2017, burglary of the Burger King at 1801 N. Ashley St., according to a Valdosta Police Department news release.

Williams entered the business when it was closed and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the store safe.

Forensic evidence and tips from the public led to his arrest, police said.
