VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) is once again taking to the streets for their annual "Fill the Boot" fundraising campaign to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
The event runs from Thursday, September 3, 2015 to Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 3pm - 7pm each day. Firefighters will be at the local Wal-Mart Supercenters (340 Norman Drive and 3274 Perimeter Road) and the local Winn Dixie stores (4036 Bemiss Road, 1105 Madison Hwy and 3200 N. Ashley St.)
This year marks the 61st year of the VFD and MDA partnership in raising money and awareness to benefit children and adults affected by muscle disease throughout the Valdosta area.
