UPDATE: Midway stabbing victim released from hospital

MIDWAY, Fla. --
The victim of a Tuesday afternoon stabbing is out of the hospital, according to Captain Jerome Turner with the Midway Police Department.

The incident happened on Brickyard Road in the small city located in between Tallahassee and Quincy.

A suspect, 22-year-old Markeisha Jackson, was arrested shortly after the stabbing. She was taken to the Gadsden County Jail.

The victim is reportedly in stable condition.

MIDWAY, Fla. (MPD)—
The Midway Police Department arrested 22-year-old Markeisha Jackson Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to a medical call off of Brickyard Road. Upon arrival officers discovered that the victim had been stabbed.

The victim was able to give a description of the suspect and what vehicle she was driving. Midway Police officers immediately posted a “lookout” for the suspect’s vehicle. Officers spotted the vehicle on Highway 90 Eastbound, and made a traffic stop.

Markeisha Jackson was driving the vehicle and admitted to being involved in the incident.

Jackson will be charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

She was arrested and booked at the Gadsden County Jail.
