UPDATE: FHP Releases Details in Live Oak Fatal Crash

UPDATE, 10:05p.m. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has released more details in Thursday afternoon's fatal crash.

According to troopers, two vehicles were going in opposite directions on US Highway 129, when the first vehicle crossed into the path of the second vehicle, and vehicle one hit the front of the second vehicle with its left front corner.

FHP says the first vehicle caught on fire and the driver was trapped inside. They say the driver, who's identity is pending notification, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers say the driver of the second vehicle, Brian Gulliford, 45 of Live Oak, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

SUWANNEE Co, FL (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Suwannee County.

According to FHP, the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at U.S. 129 and 108th Trail in Live Oak. As of 3:30 p.m., all lanes are blocked, according to FHP.
