TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man wanted for a "vicious assault" on a sleeping victim in Idaho has been arrested in Tallahassee.

Thursday, the US Marshals Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF) announced the arrest of Kentraviaen A. Tuff, who was wanted by the Boise Police Department in Boise, Idaho for aggravated battery.

On Monday, detectives from the Boise Police Department requested the US Marshals Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force adopt the case after Tuff fled the Boise area following his role in a vicious assault on a sleeping victim.

U.S. Marshals in Idaho determined that Tuff had possibly fled to the Tallahassee area due to family connections in the area.

On Thursday, members of the US Marshals Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force located TUFF at Capital Walk Apartments in the 800 block of Capital Walk Drive near the Capital Circle NW and I-10 corridor.

In a coordinated effort with several members of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office K9 and SPIDER units, Tuff was arrested without incident.

During the investigation, task force discovered a stolen Beretta 9mm handgun as well as over 130 grams of cannabis, cannabis oil, MDMA pills as well as digital scales and packaging material.

Tuff now faces additional charges in Leon County of grand theft of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to sell marijuana, possession of narcotic equipment and possession of controlled substance.

He was booked into the Leon County Jail for his new charges as well as a first appearance on his out of state charges in Idaho.
