CALHOUN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Two Blountstown men have been arrested on drug trafficking charges after deputies discovered a large amount of crystal meth inside their car.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says that on Friday around 6:38 p.m., deputies spotted a vehicle traveling near the intersection of S.R. 69 and C.R. 286 by the Ocheesee community.

Deputies stopped the car on C.R. 274 near Grady Tew Road in Altha. However, when the vehicle pulled over, a passenger got out of the car and the driver took off.

After a brief chase, deputies were able to arrest the driver, identified as Charles Corbin Jr. of Blountstown. The Florida Fish and Wildlife (FWC) assisted during the pursuit and were able to help apprehend the passenger of the vehicle, identified as Kristopher Bailey of Blountstown.

By the end of the incident, deputies discovered 88.1 grams of crystal meth, plastic baggies commonly used to sell drugs, and various drug paraphernalia items.

Both Corbin Jr. and Bailey were booked into the Calhoun County Jail.
