(WTXL) - If you want your kid to get a quick dental check up or you struggle to get dental care, there is a new app that could solve both of those problems.
The ToothPic app allows for people to get a dental check up right from their home.
By taking about six photos of your mouth and sending them through the app, you can get a basic dental assessment from 1 of 300 dentist worldwide.
CEO of Toothpic, Mark Moore, says the struggle for people in smaller areas without dentist close to them has become easier.
"Sometimes people have a niggling issue and think they might have a problem, but they don't know how bad it is or how much effort they should go through to seek treatment," said Moore. "So Toothpic is a quick and easy way for them to get that first step of advice with a dentist and then once they know what they need can plan their care around that."
Currently the price of a check up is about $39, but if you live in Florida it is free for the next few months.
