TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - One of the items unveiled Wednesday at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, is its newest piece of technology, a robotic arm.

It's full name is the "In Motion Arm" and it's expected to help provide stroke patients with task-specific therapy exercises, while gently assisting with motor-specific therapy activities.

"We're realizing that this is a place where a lot of patients need this technology. "We want them to have a higher standard of care that hasn't been previously available," said Angela Maine, Bionik Regional Sales Manager. "This is a quicker road to outcomes because we have more than 150 research studies that shows this improves your outcome and quality of life."

TMH's rehabilitation center is the only center in North Florida to offer this robotic system.
