JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Three people were arrested on drug charges after a Jackson County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit made a traffic stop on a car Thursday.

The three people are Savanna Summerlin, 26, of Marianna, Fla.; James Norton, 44, of Clayton, Ala.; and Jessica Deese, 32, of Dothan, Ala.

After the traffic stop, Norton, a passenger, provided the deputy with false identification, fled the scene on foot and ws soon taken into custody.

In addition to several drug charges - including possession of methamphetamine, marijuana (under 20 grams) and methamphetamine - he is accused of resisting an officer by disguise and resisting an officer without violence.

Summerlin and Deese are both charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Summerlin also faces a child endangerment charge, and Deese is charged with possession of marijuana (under 20 grams).

They were taken to the Jackso County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
