TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Local artists, foodies, and bloggers were all welcome today at The First Annual Fuzzy Pineapple Craft and Art Festival.

The event features over 100 independent artists from around the Big Bend, live entertainment, and one-on-one sessions with the spotlighted vendors.

"We noticed that once students get out of their majors, they kind of don't know what their next step is. So were trying to get students into the professional world as well as celebrating local artists because we ourselves are local artists. We were just trying to create a safe haven I guess for other artists to showcase their work,"  said coordinator Nefetari Denard.

Guests were able to paint their own work as well. The festival was a two-day event.
