THOMASVILLE, GA (WTXL) - Thomasville Police are marking the start of the 4th of July holiday weekend by cracking down on increased driving violations in an effort to keep roads safe.

Police officers in Thomasville will not be experiencing a vacation this 4th of July holiday weekend as TPD expects an increase in patrol efforts to keep dangerous drivers of the roads.

These violations include driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, insurance violations, driving without a valid license, and not wearing a seat belt.
