VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - The 18-year-old injured in Sunday afternoon's shooting on Cardwell Street in Valdosta has died. Meanwhile, police are still looking for the man, who they say, pulled the trigger.
Valdosta Police say 18-year-old Eric Simmons shot Damaria Hill.
According to officers, Simmons has fled the area, and investigators are working with several law enforcement agencies to locate him. He was initially charged with aggravated assault, but now additional charges have been filed.
According to the police report, Simmons shot Hill, after the two reportedly got into a fight in the 2800 block of Caldwell Drive.
The suspect, Eric Simmons, is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators are asking anyone who sees simmons to call 911 or police.
