TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tally Cat Cafe was busier than normal Wednesday as locals came together for some feline fitness.

The Tally Cat Cafe recently opened its doors back in May.

Since then, owners started cat yoga classes to get the community more involved.

This gives the cats a chance to interact with people as they get their workout in.

All cats are rescued by the Leon County Humane Society.

Business owners express how this workout is helping cats involved get a second chance at life.

"Not only are we increasing the adoption rate of out local shelters, but are lowering the euthanization rates around us as well," said Courtney Kendrick.

So far, there's been 89 cat adoptions.

Owners attribute cat yoga as apart of their success.

The next yoga session is on Oct. 3.

A portion of the admission is donated to the Leon County Humane Society.
