TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) -The Tallahassee Police Department has been selected by the Internal Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to host a training program focusing on sexual assault investigations.
The training will allow officers to learn the best practices involved in sexual assault investigations. The two day training class is designed to benefit prosecutors, law enforcement, as well as victim advocates.
Tallahassee Police Chief Micheal DeLeo has also partnered with End Violence Against Woman International, to bring five online course to all sworn officers. The courses will focus on the dynamics of sexual assault, interview techniques for officers, and more.
