TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -The 26th annual Run for the Cookies is back in Tallahassee this weekend.
On Friday, WTXL sat down with Dr. Jeanne O'Kon and Belen Rambana who provided more details about this event.
The 26th Run for the Cookies 5K and One Mile Run/Walk will be held on Saturday at Tallahassee Community College.
This is a fundraiser for the Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle. The funds raised go to support programs for girls to travel and to experience the many opportunities available through Scouting.
It is also the first day that Girl Scout cookies are available in Tallahassee! Winners in age groups in the 5K are awarded boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Many door prizes are available as well.
