Tallahassee Community Safety Awareness Day

TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police Department and area agencies are teaming up to bring Tallahassee a Community Safety Awareness Day. 

Thirteen Agencies will bring different and exciting equipment and materials aimed at Community Safety Awareness, including Crime Dog McGruff, a Tallahassee Fire Department Truck, Leon County EMS Ambulance, Florida Forest Service's Smokey Bear and the Leon County Sheriff's Office Helicopter. The Florida Department of Transportation will also be on-site to provide bicycle helmet fittings for children and adults and Leon County EMS technicians will be conducting inspections of Child Safety Seat installations.

The event is set for Saturday March 14th, from 10am-2pm at the Gaines Street Park, located at 725 South Bronough Street.
