TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -Local organizations are working together to bring a new mural to the Tallahassee community.

Nai Talcor, Knight Creative Communities Institute and muralist Cosby Hayes collaborated to bring a new mural idea to life in the Midtown area.

The design for the mural is supposed to highlight the different cultures here in Tallahassee with the hopes to promote a sense of unity to the community.

One of the organizers of this project is confident that this mural will impact the community in a positive way.

"Murals really have an opportunity to deepen peoples' connections to a place. They elicit different emotions, promote well-being, KCCI is really excited to make the Midtown area more colorful," said Betsy Couch, Executive Director for the Knight Creative Communities Institute.

The mural is located right next to Fire Betty's Arcade Bar.
