Suwannee County Deputies Searching for Missing Woman

SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for information regarding the disappearance of Kamrie Cherai Mitchell a.k.a. “Reci” who was last seen August 25, 2012 at her residence in southeast Suwannee County.

On September 5, 2012 Kamrie’s white 1992 Pontiac Grand Am was found partially submerged on 184th Street east of CR 137 in the flood waters left after tropical storm Debbie.

Kamrie’s purse and cellular phone were found inside of the car.

Since Kamrie’s disappearance investigators from various law enforcement agencies including, the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office have followed up on hundreds of tips and leads, but none have proven to be successful in determining the circumstances surrounding Kamrie’s disappearance.

Kamrie is currently entered into the national NCIC database, as a missing/endangered person. She is also entered into the National Institute of Justice NamUS database.

Kamrie was 23-years-old when she disappeared, she 5’5” tall, weighs 125 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. Kamrie has several tattoos, “Grams” and a butterfly on her wrist, “Kamrie” on her left foot, “Layla” with a footprint, and birth date, on her right side.
