THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - 11 p.m. Tuesday night, none of Thomas County's 20 precincts were reporting any results and some state race results had already been called.

Supervisor of Elections in Thomas County, Frank Scoggins, tells us that voters pushed through a number of misfortunes including bad weather and technical difficulties in order to participate in Tuesday’s historic election.

“We had equipment problems which kind of stopped us a little bit but we have redundancy in elections whereby we’ve got more machines it’s just a matter of going to the machines and getting plug back up and hook back up to our server which is not online and of course we resumed that put us back an hour so or a little more," said Scoggins.

Scroggins worked tirelessly past 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to complete the task.

He confirmed that all of the votes were electronically counted and submitted to the Secretary of State.
