MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Police say a man accused of setting a suburban Atlanta home on fire that killed his teenage stepdaughter has been arrested in Florida.

Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/2bysXPo) that 37-year-old Defareya Hunter was arrested Friday in the July 23 fatal fire. Hunter's stepdaughter was found dead at a home in Marietta, Georgia.

Hunter is being held at the Broward County Jail in Florida, and awaiting extradition back to Cobb County. Police did not say how Hunter got to Florida.

Hunter is charged with murder, aggravated assault, arson and cruelty to children charges.

Fire crew members helped a teenage boy escape the fire.

Court documents show a history of domestic violence between Hunter and his wife along with an incident involving his stepdaughter.
