TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A drug investigation lead to a standoff this afternoon in a Tallahassee neighborhood.

Kevin Bailey fled from a single family home at 215 Westridge Drive during a drug investigation by law enforcement. Bailey ran nearby to his own apartment in the 400 block of Hayden Road where he refused officer's orders to leave the building according to police.

The 23 year-old was believed to be armed and the Tallahassee Police Department's Tactical Apprehension & Control (T.A.C.) team was called to the scene.

Approximately two hours later, police were able to talk to Bailey and he turned himself over to police.

"We were able to get him to surrender without anyone being injured in any way shape or form which is a thankful thing for us", said Tallahassee Police officer David Northway.

Bailey will be transported to the Leon County Jail. TPD currently has charges pending against him.
