TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Elder Care Services will be hosting a gala entitled "A Night in Paris"  on Sunday, June 23,  from 6-10 p.m.

The event is the first of its kind for the agency, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors. Organizers promise that it will  be a red carpet, star studded affair.

Tickets are $75 per person and include two raffle tickets, two drink tickets and h'ors d'oeuvres including shrimp cocktail, an array of artisan cheeses, a medley of fresh seasonal fruit and berries, brie with sweet pear and toasted almonds in puff pastry, baked crab stuffed crimini, bacon wrapped beef and bleu cheese and crab cakes with remoulade sauce and free valet parking.

The proceeds go towards Elder Care Services services, including their Meals on Wheels program, making up for the loss in funding the agency received as a result of sequestration. Federal funding decreased by $36,000, which equals to a staggering 10,166 meals that the organization is forced to cut throughout the end of the year.

Organizers hope "A Night in Paris" enables Elder Care Services to continue to serve those seniors that would no longer receive services under the budget cuts.

The event will take place in the Hotel Duval Horizon ballroom. For more information visit www.ecsbigbend.org, or call 850-921-5554.
