Sopchoppy man found dead after car crash in Wakulla County

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Sopchoppy man is dead after his car ran into a tree in Wakulla County. 

The Florida Highway Patrol says the single car crash happened Tuesday morning around 6:48 a.m.

They say that Tyler Ray Sanders, 29, was driving his 2009 Chevrolet 1500 pick up truck east on Sopchoppy Highway near Carraway Cutoff when his car drifted off the road and hit a tree.

Troopers say Sanders was found dead on the scene. They say they aren't sure what caused Sanders to drift off the roadway.  

FHP was assisted on scene by Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Wakulla County EMS, and Wakulla County Fire Rescue.
