Single car accident in Quincy kills one, injures four

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - A single car accident killed one and injured four, including two children, in Quincy Saturday evening. 

Reginald Wilson, 50, of Greenacres, Fla., one of four passengers in the car, died from his injuries in the accident.  

Florida Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 4:57 p.m. Saturday on State Road 267 just north of County Road 272. 

According to FHP, the car was traveling north on State Road 267, when the driver lost control of the car. 

FHP states the car traveled across the southbound lanes and onto the shoulder of State Road 267, spinning and then overturning before hitting a tree. 

FHP said the driver, a 3-year-old, and 1-year-old were seriously injured and another passenger sustained critical injuries in the accident. 

All were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.   

FHP states Wilson and the two children were not wearing seatbelts, while it is unknown at this time if the driver or the other passenger were wearing theirs. 

According to FHP, it is also unknown if alcohol played a factor in the accident and charges are pending. 


QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal accident in Quincy. 

FHP responded to the accident at 5:27 p.m. Saturday on State Road 267 and Hutchinson Ferry Road.  

FHP says there is currently a partial roadblock on the road. 

At this time, FHP hasn't said how many cars were involved or if there are any other injuries at this time.
