Shred-It and Forget-It event raises over 2k pounds of food

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - WTXL along with Legacy Toyota, Shred-it, and Second Harvest of the Big Bend helped raised over 2,000 pounds of food and over $1,200 in donations.

The Shred-It and Forget-It event raised $1,298 which equates to 5,192 meals and the event also helped bring in 2,282 pounds of food.

Overall 7,094 meals were helped made thanks to the event and 9,504 pounds of material was shredded. 


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - WTXL is partnering with Legacy Toyota, Shred-it and Second Harvest of the Big Bend to help keep your identity safe.

From 5 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. on May 3, you're able to bring a box of your sensitive documents and we will shred them for free.

All we ask if that you bring a food donation for Second Harvest. Donations can come in the form of canned food, cash or check. 

Attendees are asked to bring paper products only. Batteries and electronics are not allowed.

The event will take place at Legacy Toyota and will feature food from The Kitchen Witch
