WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A second person has been arrested in the theft of prescription drugs from the Crawfordville Pharmacy.

Zachary W. Babcock was charged with robbery and grand larceny on Nov. 9, 2018, after Wakulla County detectives returned to Florida from Blount County, Tennessee.  There Babcock was being held for unrelated charges, the WCSO said in a Facebook post

Babcock is incarcerated in the Blount County Jail, and a hold has been placed on him to be returned to Wakulla County in the future to face the charges.

A woman, Shelby Lynn Higdon, has already been charged in the robbery on November 1. Deputies say Higdon showed a clerk a note threatening that she was armed and demanded a specific prescription opiate and an over-the-counter substance.

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A woman accused of showing a note at a local pharmacy demanding prescription drugs and threatening that she was armed with a gun has been arrested.

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested Shelby Lynn Higdon. She has been charged in a robbery at the Crawfordville Pharmacy.

On Nov. 1, deputies say a woman went into the Crawfordville Pharmacy, showed the clerk a note threatening that she was armed with a gun, and demanded a specific prescription opiate and an over-the-counter substance.

The clerk obeyed the woman's commands and after receiving the requested items, the woman ran away.

WCSO says detectives immediately responded to the area, but the woman had already left the area, so an investigation was opened. That same day, the sheriff's office shared a picture of the suspect on Facebook.

By the afternoon of the next day, deputies say they identified the suspect as Higdon and found probable cause to charge her with the robbery. They also learned that she and her boyfriend, Zachary W. Babcock, had traveled together from Indiana to Wakulla County.

Detectives later received information that Higdon and Babcock were in Leon County the evening of Nov. 2, so investigators from WCSO and the Leon County Sheriff's Office began searching for her. They checked five motels in Leon County where the two may have been staying, but postponed the search after a mass shooting at a yoga studio in Tallahassee

On Sunday, WCSO says they got information that Higdon was in Blount County, Tennessee. That afternoon, around 5 p.m., detectives got a warrant for Higdon's arrest, they entered her as a wanted suspect in law enforcement databases and the sheriff authorized national extradition.

Exactly one hour after providing Tennessee law enforcement agencies with information, deputies say Higdon, who had already changed her hair color from red to blonde, was arrested and booked into the Blount County Jail.

Deputies say Babcock is also in the Blount County Jail for unrelated charges.

WCSO says the arrest was a collaboration between citizens, and law enforcement agencies in Indiana, Florida and Tennessee.

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in identifying a woman regarding a prescription drug theft from a local pharmacy.

On Thursday, the woman showed a note to a pharmacy clerk at Crawfordville Pharmacy, which indicated she had a firearm and demanded prescription drugs and an over-the-counter substance.

WCSO said after being provided the prescription drugs and over-the-counter substance, the woman ran from the pharmacy.

After the theft was reported to law enforcement, deputies quickly responded and searched the area, but the woman had already left the area.
