Second Harvest looking for volunteers for truck caravan

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Second Harvest of the Big Bend is trying to get the word out to the community for those with trucks to be part of a Sunday morning convoy to 20 or more churches in Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Jackson, and Liberty Counties. 

The Second Harvest of the Big Bend said they are a creating a caravan of trucks from Tallahassee to Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Jackson and Liberty counties. 

They are asking if you are interested to please be at the Second Harvest warehouse (4466 Entrepot Boulevard) at 7:30 a.m. Sunday with your pickup truck. 

Second Harvest of the Big Bend stated staff and volunteers will load up residents' trucks and they will be given instructions on where to go. 

Trucks will be scheduled to arrive at a designated church around 10:30 a.m., to offer food and water to people who need it. 

Once the trucks are empty, volunteers will be asked to return to Second Harvest with their report.
