TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Friday is known by some as 4/20 and Regulate Florida teamed up with medical cannabis provider Trulieve to push for legalizing marijuana for all adults.
Regulate Florida asked residents sign a petition and take donations to help put adult-use cannabis legalization on the 20-20 ballot.
"The health and well being of our community is most important. The social issues, the criminal issues, all the issues surrounding cannabis," said Melissa Villar-Lozano of Regulate Florida. "Sustainability, the environment, it's all about the community coming together and realizing the whole plant the benefits of the whole plant."
For every dollar donated Friday to Regulate Florida, Trulieve will match it, up to $20,000.
