GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Earlier this month a fire in Quincy destroyed a 100-year-old church.

The fire left Faith Heritage Church members devastated. But this has not stopped the church, who has been holding services every Sunday since the fire.

This Sunday, that continued along with lunch with another church in the area.

St. Paul Episcopal Church just down the road provided a full lunch for every patron at Faith Heritage Church.

Also attendance was Gadsden County Sheriff Morris Young.

The reverend at Saint Paul and the pastor at Faith Heritage Church both said in times of turmoil food is a great way to bring everyone together.

"This is a breath of fresh air, because they are wanting us to come to them. They want to get outside of what looks like doom and gloom, and devastation," said Pastor Paul Ladd.

Reverend Sandra Mayer said "It brings people together that wouldn't ordinarily wouldn't sit down at the table together. Food is a good common denominator."

Faith Heritage Church also got to have their service this Sunday at Life Song Chapel, due to weather conditions.
