TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - UPDATE: According to Tallahassee police, the woman left in critical condition after exposure to toxic fumes Thursday afternoon has died.

Investigators from the Tallahassee Police Department said that Ada Skvereckas passed away at a local hospital after firefighters found a sulfide-based cleaner inside the Flying Unicorn Scrapbook business on Capital Circle SE. 

When crews arrived, they found Skvereckas in critical condition and two others in a stable condition, who were transported to the hospital. 

TPD Investigators are continuing to process evidence and interview all known witnesses.

 Firefighters said that they found a cleaner inside a building where crews found five people who exposed to the cleaner's toxic fumes.

TFD said that they found the sulfide-based cleaner inside the Flying Unicorn Scrapbook business on Capital Circle SE. 

Captain Mike Bellamy said that one woman was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition, two others were treated at the scene, and two were in stable condition

One southbound lane of Capital Circle SE was blocked during the incident but has reopened. 

Firefighters said that they ventilated the building and transferred the scene to the Tallahassee Police Department for further investigation.

Tallahassee firefighters are reporting an incident involving dangerous materials on Capital Circle. 

Captain Mike Bellamy with the Tallahassee Fire Department said that around 2:40 p.m., they were called about an unusual odor in the 110 Block of Capital Circle SE. 

When crews arrived, they found one person in critical condition and two others in a stable condition, who were transported to the hospital. 

TFD said that hazmat crews were working to clear the building, though they said that there was no threat to the public at this time. 

Governors Court is open for those accessing the nearby daycare. 

They have asked that drivers avoid the southbound lane of Capital Circle SE while the investigation continues.
