TALLAHASSEE, FL - Staying hydrated is important and whether you are thinking of participating in the upcoming senior games at the Tallahassee Senior Center or are getting fit in the new year, you'll want a water bottle.

Tallahassee Senior Center's Kristy Carter visited Sunrise to show the team how to create your own, personalized water bottle.

Here's what you do:

Select a plain water bottle

Select what you would like on your bottle - Motivational Saying, Name, etc.

Buy or design - Stickers, I designed some on the Cricut Machine

Clean your surface with hot water

Place stickers on water bottle.

If using design by a vinyl cutting machine - use transfer tape to remove design and place on water bottle.

Smooth your items removing all air bubbles

Heat your items with a blow dryer for better sticking

American Heart Association recommends 64 ounces of water a day (8 cups) to keep hydrated.

So while folks are training for the Senior Games it is very important to stay hydrated.

Tallahassee Senior Games are March 4-13 at various times.

This is to benefit a happy, healthy senior population in the Capital City.

Registration for the popular Capital City Senior Games is open.

Competitions will include archery, bag toss, basketball, bowling, cycling, golf, horseshoes, pickleball, power lifting, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field and, new this year, a one mile fun run/walk.
