BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers say a medical episode led to a Panama City man being hit and critically injured by a car.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that Bryan Barker, 25, was driving west in the outside lane on C.R. 392 Wednesday morning.

They said an another unoccupied truck towing an arrow board was parked in a temporary lane closure in the same lane Barker was traveling in.

Sometime while driving, troopers say Barker had a possible seizure. The car continued traveling into the closed off portion of the lane, hitting James Vinson, 43, and the truck's arrow board.

Vinson was transported to Bay Medical in critical condition. Barker was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

FHP said that they are still investigating.
