LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--A pedestrian is killed on I-75 Wednesday morning in Lowndes County.

Georgia State Patrol troopers say 39-year-old Ronald Lee Craft was in the middle of the outside southbound lane of the interstate near mile marker eight.

A tractor trailer hit him around four a.m. Troopers say the truck was driven by 49-year-old James Vanness out of Tennessee. Vanness was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

Troopers are working to get a better idea on where the pedestrian was going and in what direction. They say Craft lived nearby.
