TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A traffic accident at the intersection of West Tennessee Street and White Drive has sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to an initial investigation by Tallahassee Police, a City of Tallahassee Utility truck was traveling westbound on Tennessee Street on Monday afternoon near White Drive when it crossed the median and hit a maroon Mercedes, which was traveling eastbound on Tennessee Street.
When first responders arrived on scene, they said one person was in need of medical attention. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, said police.
TPD’s Traffic Homicide Investigators has taken over the investigation. Tennessee Street at White Drive was closed to traffic as the investigation continues. Investigators are still analyzing evidence and interviewing all witnesses.
The accident happened at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Monday. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not remain on scene to please contact TPD at (850) 891-4200.
