SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL. (WTXL)-- One is dead after a fatal accident at a field on 225th Road in Live Oak Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver, Robert Edward Jones, was joy riding the truck in the open field with Passenger, James Leroy Fountain Jr. when the car overturned.
Reports state, that Jones was trying to make a sharp left when he lost control of the Ford.
Fountain, died on scene and Jones was airlifted to UF Health in Gainesville. Charges are pending and troopers say neither of the men were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. It is unknown if alcohol was a contributing factor.
