TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A new trolley service is coming to Tallahassee and city officials are inviting you to "Take the T" and enjoy the ride.

City of Tallahassee officials said that they, in coordination with the Downtown Improvement Authority, will host the official launch of a new trolley service designed to connect residents and visitors to area businesses and attractions.

On Monday at 11:30 a.m., the mayor and city commissioners, as well as representatives from the Downtown Improvement Authority and members of the local business community will embark on an inaugural trolley ride.

Three trolleys will leave from City Hall on S. Adams Street starting at 11:45 a.m., and go to hot spots around the downtown area and surrounding areas, including College Town and Midtown.

The event will also feature live music at 11 a.m. by Jordan Sinclair and brief remarks from city commissioners at 11:30 a.m.

The free trolley service is available during lunch hours on weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and during evening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
