GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Community leaders gathered earlier Thursday at the Cecil G. Trippe Municipal Building in Havana, to announce the new business coming to town.

Hoover Treated Wood Products will begin construction in the next couple months.

The business has nine other facilities across the nation, and is excited about bringing the next one to Gadsden County.

Gadsden County leaders say they are eager to see the impact this will have on the community.

"We have these jobs coming. The county commissioners is very progressive about economic development along with the Gadsden County development council," said Brenda Holt, Chairman of the Gadsden County Commission. "We and Gadsden County all of us the entire county, look forward to great economic development."

Leaders say this project was a long time coming.

Hoover will bring in about 40 jobs, ranging from engineering, to working in the factory, applying the retardant.
