TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)  - A national organization is hoping that some new technology can help people in our area recognize a missing person.

On Oct. 10, 1973, the body of a young woman was found on a military reserve in Pennsylvania.

Believed to be white, between 16 to 19-years-old, and at least 5'5 tall, investigators say the Jane Doe was dead between one to three weeks before she was found.

They say she may have traveled through several southern states included Georgia and here in Florida.

Now, 44 years later, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has created a 3-D facial reconstruction using a CT Scan of her skull.

They say that the results suggest that she was not originally from the Lebanon County region. In fact, they believe she was likely born and raised in the southeast U.S.

NCMEC is asking anyone with any information about this Jane Doe to please call the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown at 717-865-2194 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-842-5678).
