TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Wednesday marked the Moffitt Cancer Center's day at the Florida capitol.
Supporters gathered in Tallahassee to talk with legislators and make the case for make for increased government funding for cancer research.
In addition to Moffitt's events at the capitol, cyclists from the Cure on Wheels organization completed a three-day, 300-mile trek in the Florida State Capitol Courtyard. The mission of the journey – called the Capitol Ride – is to raise funds and awareness for the battle against cancer.
