TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Elder Care Services has acquired the means to make the waiting list shorter for seniors in the Big Bend who want to utilize the Meals on Wheels program.
However, there is still one problem. Now that they have the meals, they need the wheels.
They're asking for new volunteers to make sure these meals get delivered.
Elder Care says they need at least 30 new volunteers to meet the demand.
The program delivers meals to home bound seniors Monday through Friday each week.
The time commitment is about 2 hours once a week.
