OMEGA, Ga. (WTXL)-- Authorities have called off a manhunt for three men who were caught breaking in to a Colquitt County home.

It all started after a homeowner saw the men trying to break into his home Thursday afternoon. The suspects began shooting at the homeowner before speeding away towards Tift County.

The three men wrecked their vehicle near the intersection of Highway 319. Authorities believe the suspects then hid in the woods while they called someone to pick them up.

Law enforcement told WALB reporter Jim Wallace that both the Sheriff's Office and the Secret Service are on the scene.

One of the men was seen wearing blue jean shorts and a white shirt. All of the men have dreadlocks and all are considered to be armed and dangerous.
