MADISON COUNTY, FL. (WTXL)-- One man is seriously injured following an early morning accident on State Road 23 in Madison County Thursday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Richard Chaney was traveling south at 6:45 in the morning when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting a tree and flipping on to his roof.
Chaney was transferred to South Georgia Medical to receive medical attention for serious injuries.
Officials do not say what caused Chaney to lose control. Reports say he was wearing his seat belt and was not under the influence of alcohol.
