PERRY, Fla. (WTXL)-- A man has been charged in the death of 50-year-old Shelly Strickland, an educator with the Taylor County School District for almost 30 years.
26-year-old Garrett Ashton Arrowood was taken into custody Saturday morning and is being charged with murder.
Strickland was found dead inside her car at her residence on Osteen Road in Perry, Fl Wednesday afternoon.
According to Strickland's friend, Sandy Murphy, she suffered gunshot wounds.
Strickland was a former principal of Taylor County Elementary school and a current teacher at Taylor County Middle School.
