TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man is facing felony charges after surveillance video at a Tallahassee apartment complex caught him pulling a fire alarm before stealing and spraying a fire extinguisher.

Tyler Webb, 22, was taken into custody over the weekend for an incident at Onyx Apartments on April 6, about a month after a similar incident at the same apartment complex

Court documents say Tallahassee Police were called to the apartment complex about a disturbance the night before.

An apartment employee told police that around midnight, a man was caught on camera pulling a fire alarm so hard he broke it, causing $600 worth of damage.

Surveillance footage showed the man walking up the stairs near the complex's parking lot to the seventh floor where he then stole a fire extinguisher and sprayed it down the stairwell.

Through an investigation, police identified the man as Webb and tried to talk to him, however they were never able to get in touch with him.

As a result, a warrant was issued for Webb's arrest. He was taken into custody over the weekend and jailed a $2,500 bond.

Webb is charged with grand theft of a fire extinguisher, criminal mischief (over $200), and preventing or obstructing extingishment of a fire.
