LOWNDES Co. Ga.--  Detectives have made an arrest in connection to a burglary on Bemiss Road and another on Knights Academy Road.

Detectives say they learned items from one of the burglaries had been sold to local precious metal buyers. Those items were recovered and identified by the victims of each burglary.

Kenneth McKinney, 51, was arrested on Wednesday May 4th and has been charged with the burglary of the residences on both Bemiss Road and Knights Academy Road.

During his arrest, officials say additional evidence was found linking him to other burglaries including one in Lanier County.

The detectives are continuing to examine evidence from other burglaries and are working with other law enforcement agencies to determine if Kenneth McKinney is connected to any additional thefts or burglaries.

Kenneth McKinney is Lowndes County Jail and has appeared in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court for an arraignment hearing.
