TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Leon County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man accused of robbing a convenience store clerk with a cattle prod.

Sheriff's officials say the robbery happened at 9:06 p.m. on January 2, 2013. A white male reportedly entered the Food Mart on Apalachee Parkway, pulled out a cattle prod, and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect shocked the clerk several times before the clerk pulled out a handgun and challenged him.

Witnesses say the suspect tried to run away, but another employee jumped in and attempted to restrain him. The suspect tried to hit the employee with the cattle prod, and was able to flee the scene in a dark-colored Dodge truck. However, this wasn't before another witness deflated his tires.

Responding deputies stopped the Dodge truck, but the suspect ran off on foot. Even though they couldn't find the suspect, they identified him 26-year-old Lance M. Tomberlin.  He was arrested, six days later, on January 8.

Tomberlin faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery.

"before another witness deflated his tires." ???

Sounds like there is a bit more to this story, but then, I don't think my first reaction to witnessing a hold-up in progress, would be to go out to the parking lot and deflate the suspect's tires. I, as a certified Internet Tough Guy (ITG), if I had a tool that could easily deflate tires, I'd use my ITG skilz and deflate the bad guy with a few well-aimed 40 cal hollow-point tire deflaters, yup, that's what I'd do.
