MADISON CO Fla.-- The Madison County Sheriff's Office and Home Land Security Investigators worked together to investigate a Madison County resident who they believed was receiving packages of controlled substances through a delivery service.

On Monday May 16th officials went to the home of Debra Bassett, on South West County Road 14 in Madison Florida.

Investigators say they delivered the package to the residence, where it was accepted and signed for by a person inside the home.

The package contained approximately 4,000 doses of Tramadol, a schedule 4 controlled substance.

Officials say, Bassett was mirandized and questioned regarding the substances and volunteered information about receiving and distributing controlled substances.

According to investigators, Bassett further provided information regarding additional controlled substances within her residence.

Officials say Bassett consented to a search of her residence, and that search led them to find a total of 1,580 doses of Zolfed (Ambien, schedule 4) and 24,680 doses of Tramadol (schedule 4)

Bassett surrendered all medication and her cell phone that contained a list of persons to have the controlled substances shipped to over to authorities.

 Bassett was taken into custody.
